The CDO Magazine Podcast features Orion Governance CEO discussing the importance of automation. Ramesh Shurma, CEO, Orion Governance, speaks with Derek Strauss, Gavroshe USA, Inc. Chairman, about his company’s background, the challenges CEOs face, the strategy needed to run a company successfully, and the key to achieving automation.
“Shurma shares that he founded Orion Governance in 2017 with many years of work experience in the data and analytics space. He recalls leading the migration effort of a successful company from a legacy system. With 10 months to migrate, it was a big challenge since no one in the enterprise understood the flow of information, he adds. This revelation led to the idea of building Orion Governance, and building an automated and transparent product with velocity, Shurma says.
Next, Shurma discusses modernization as one of the challenges CEOs face. Upgrading systems, reducing costs, improving performance, and being compliant are some of the elements he mentions. Shurma states that an enterprise is a collection of silos that do not talk to each other. The job of a CEO, he maintains, is to try and bring them together to collaborate in a meaningful way.”
