How does EIIG harvest metadata from the Oracle database?

EIIG supports both pull and push methodologies in harvesting metadata:
1. Pull: This is done through Direct Connection. This scanning mode will connect to the Oracle server using JDBC connectivity and extract metadata information and create those details in the Orion EIIG platform.
2. Push: this is done via file upload (.sql, .ddl ).
The second option does not need to touch production databases and thus has zero impact on production (ZIP).
